Job Title: Warehouse Loader
Reports To: Outbound Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Classification: Full Time
Job Summary: The Warehouse Loader provides support to outbound activities by wrapping, loading, and securing completed orders on to our delivery trucks using various equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow directions accurately, consistently, and safely.
- Properly use a pallet jack or forklift to take completed order pallets to the wrap machine.
- Properly push completed cart orders to the wrap machine.
- Wrap all completed pallets and carts and take those wrapped orders to the correct truck or staging area.
- Load and secure all pallets and cart orders in corresponding trucks based on the Encompass loading screen display.
- Utilize dividers to ensure that the orders will arrive at the Retailer with no damage.
- Unload empty carts and pallets from route trucks.
- Bring empty pallets and carts to the downstack lanes.
- Transport side loaders pallets throughout the warehouse utilizing a forklift.
- Load side loader pallets in the correct bays based on the Encompass pallet tags.
- Ensure that all side loaders are loaded according to operating procedures.
- Ensure that all equipment inspections are completed for any equipment operated on.
- Water any batteries as needed.
- Ensure that equipment is cleaned as delegated.
- Clean assigned area at the end of each shift.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good communication skills both individually and within the Warehouse team to drive teamwork.
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment during Outbound shift, Sunday through Thursday (11:45am-workload is completed.) Start and end times are subject to change and determined by workload.
- Able to safely operate all Warehouse equipment. (i.e. Forklifts, Pallet Jacks)
- Proficient in the Warehouse Management System, Encompass.
- Punctual, detail oriented, and dependable.
Education/Experience:
- High School graduate or GED.
- OSHA Certified preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds continuously.
- Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, frequently.
