Job Title: Special Events Coordinator
Reports To: Special Events Manager
FLSA Status: Full Time
Classification: Exempt
Job Summary: The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organizing, and executing a wide variety of events, including sporting events, festivals, concerts, community outreach events, and internal celebrations within Southern Crown Partners’ portfolio.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Execute all logistical aspects of events from concept to completion.
- Coordinate with vendors and other service providers.
- Work closely with the Special Events team to ensure brand consistency and alignment with SCP goals.
- Execution and breakdown of events, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
- Track event performance and gather post-event feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain event records, reports, and documentation.
- Attend and pass certifications required by SCP.
- Provide technical support and maintenance for the role as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic or intermediate knowledge of wholesale beer and ale industry concepts.
- Forklift Certification (willingness to obtain).
- DOT Medical Card (willingness to obtain).
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively practice safe driving and proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to interface effectively with other departments, customers and vendors.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications
- Represents SCP’s commitment to excellence through PARTNERS values.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of special events and/or beverage sales experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Travel 80%
- Walking, Bending, Lifting, and Twisting 80%
- Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally up to 160 pounds.
