Job Title: Maintenance Technician 

Reports To: Warehouse Director/VP of Warehouses 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Classification: Full-Time 

 

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities while supporting the housekeeping, upkeeping of warehouse equipment, and other duties as assigned.  

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • None 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Performs general repairs and maintenance tasks that do not require a specialized technician including but not limited to repairing drywall, painting, light bulbs, repairing doors and other building fixtures. 
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems. 
  • Coordinate with facility custodian on upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. 
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. 
  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. 
  • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm). 
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation). 
  • Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools safely. 
  • Organizes and maintains tool room and spare parts storage rooms. 
  • Performs accurate records for preventive maintenance. 
  • Coordinate with vendors performing major maintenance and repairs. 
  • Follow directions accurately, consistently, and safely from the Warehouse Director and Warehouse Management. 
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance duties as directed, including sweeping and mopping floors.  
  • Keep the warehouse in clean and orderly condition. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Good communication skills both individually and within the warehouse team to complete tasks. 
  • Preferred experience as Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.  
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances. 
  • Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components. 
  • Excellent physical condition and strength. 
  • Ability to operate a computer and enter purchase orders. 
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Adaptable to working flexible shifts based on workload. While the majority of work is during the first shift, Monday through Friday, hours may occasionally need to be adjusted depending on downtime or production requirements. 
  • Punctual and dependable.

Education/Experience: 

  • High School graduate or GED. 


Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds continuously.  
  • Walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and lifting, continuously.  
  • Administrative 10%
