Job Title: Benefits Administrator

Reports To: Director- Compensation & Benefits

FLSA Status: Exempt

Classification: Full-Time


Job Summary: The Benefits Administrator will be responsible for managing and coordinating employee benefits programs within Southern Crown Partners. This role will ensure administration of health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and other employee benefits to the team. The Benefits Administrator plays a key role in supporting employee satisfaction and compliance with legal standards for SCP.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans (e.g., 401(k)), disability plans, and wellness programs.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and enrollment procedures.
  • Manage upfront structuring of insurance policies including Workers' Compensation, Property, and other P&C (Property & Casualty) coverages, ensuring optimal coverage design, risk mitigation, and alignment with company objectives.
  •  Administer and manage FAVR (Fixed and Variable Rate) vehicle reimbursement program, ensuring compliance with IRS guidelines, accurate mileage tracking, and cost-effective employee mobility solutions.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and open enrollment processes, including preparing materials, conducting presentations, and assisting employees with selections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits data in the HRIS system.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA).
  • Liaise with external vendors and insurance carriers to resolve issues and improve services.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on benefit costs and utilization; recommend improvements or changes when appropriate.
  •  Support HR team with onboarding and offboarding processes as they relate to benefits.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and legislative changes impacting employee benefits.
  • Assist members of the Benefits team as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective in prioritizing and executing tasks.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and apply new technologies.
  •  Proficient in Office365. 
  • Effectively interact and communicate with all departments to achieve goals.   
  •  Ability to maintain strict confidentiality for all company related information.

Education/Experience:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar HR/Benefits role.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits management systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday, Paycom).

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Administrative 90% 
  • Walking, Bending, Lifting, and Twisting 10%
