Job Title: Accountant Assistant
Reports To: Controller
FLSA Status: Exempt
Classification: Full-Time
Job Summary: The Accountant Assistant will be responsible for providing support and services to suppliers, vendors, employees and management regarding procurement and supplier promotional credits and billbacks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Match, review, process supplier invoices to ensure accurate pricing and posting to the GL accounts.
- Work closely with the sales and warehouse teams to record and track shipment discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Responsible for daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting processes including purchases, accounts payable, and inventory for several locations.
- Ability to prepare journal entries and detailed monthly account reconciliations along with providing account analysis.
- Compile, confirm and submit reporting for supplier promotional credits.
- Assist members of the finance team as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective in prioritizing and executing tasks.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand and apply new technologies.
- Proficient in Office365.
- Effectively interact and communicate with all departments to achieve goals.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality for all company related information.

Education/Experience:
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent business experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Administrative 90%
- Walking, Bending, Lifting, and Twisting 10%
